Ren Fest Videos

Renaissance Festival

Today we went to the Ren Fest from 12 - 4:15 p.m. It was great - Keona rode a llama, we shared a turkey leg, and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Irish Heritage week theme.

Here are some pictures:

Riding a llama!

Riding a pirate ride

Snake - 7 years old, 110 pounds and very tame! Eats 10-15 pound rabbits!

With a woman working at the Ren Fest - beautiful outfit!

The biggest rocking horse we've ever ridden on! Keona is in the back on the right side. The workers were rocking it with their feet!

The infamous turkey leg!

Big turtle with donations on top.

Same big turtle, better shot.

Alligator! With the turtles!

Daddy and Keona at the entrance and beautiful bridge with water underneath.

Panera

I went to Panera on Friday evening with a good friend of mine and I went in thinking I'd order a half sandwich and soup combination for less than $7. I actually ordered the Fuji Chicken Salad. It was good for about five bites when I noticed a moth in my food... disgusting but I just brought it back and ordered a sandwich... I haven't had anything like this happen since going to Granite City three years ago when I found a hair in my creamy alfredo pasta. Oh well. Such is life. Still will go back to Panera...

Beginning of Fall 2009

So this semester has begun with some crazy obstacles, all of which have been overcome. Especially my GA-ship. I have a GA-ship and am teaching ESL 202 - Reading and Writing II. It is exactly what I requested!

Also on my agenda is my thesis proposal. I have gotten a lot written but still working on a committee. I need an outside reader...
